A Week Before Philippine Fashion Week
I haven't blogged much lately because there's so many things we're doing for PFW. And as much as I want to blog everything as soon as possible, I can't for so many reasons.
But because I love you guys so much, here's a short post/teaser with whats current.
While working last last Saturday -yes, on a Saturday, someone came in the office... Oh what a surprise it was.
If you're an America's Next Top Model fan, you'd know who she is. But for those who aren't, well... That's Claire James Unabia from cycle 10! And she's gonna walk the runways of Philippine Fashion Week!
So what y'all waiting for? Be part of the most fashionable event in the Philippines! See you all on May 8-15 at the SMX Convention Center. For more details and show schedule, check out our Facebook page.

Round Up: I Like Them Girls
I was suppose to do a weekend round up of the things I've been obsessing over for the last week but ended up postponing it due to a sudden fun filled weekend courtesy of friends and some alcohol. So I would like to apologize for this late post. :)
Alright, let us begin.
MUSIC: Last week was a bit of a downer during the weekday. I -and so was most of the population of Benilde- were swamped with school works. I had to cram a midterm project and an assignment for my History of Art and Design class. Late nights and early mornings were my trend last week. And to cope for those late nights, I had to have music. And one of the songs that was on loop was Flight Facilities' Crave You featuring Giselle.
I first heard this song on the hit UK show Skins, and totally fell in love with it. It has that hypnotic vibe that you could just get lost into.
NEWS: I guess most of you have already heard about Lancôme's newest Endorser, EMMA WATSON -my girl crush.
"Get ready for some beauty magic: Emma Watson is the newest face of Lancôme. The Harry Potter star, 20, announced the news via Twitter Monday morning after leading followers through a series of clues over the weekend. “Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation,” Lancôme president Youcef Nabi said in a statement. “We are delighted by the new collaboration with Emma, who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme.” Watson follows in the footsteps of such pretty women as Julia Roberts, Penélope Cruz, Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway, and is the brand’s youngest ambassador to date. The partnership comes at a good time: Watson recently shared that she’s taking a break from her studies at Brown University to focus on her “other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree … it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought.” " (source: People Magazine; Photo)
VIDEO: I immediately thought that this video is too cute not to share. I wish we could do something like this during Philippine Fashion Week this coming May. What do you guys think?
"models.com and Justin Wu take you on a whirlwind tour of fashion week in Milan and Paris, from castings to backstage, the shows and the models off-duty, lip-synched to the classic fave of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes off of You’!"(source)
Wondering about my blog title? Well, it's very simple really. We have Giselle, Emma Watson and some of the most beautiful girl models on this first ever ROUND UP post. :)

Be Your Teenage Dream Tonight
Yes. It's from that song -that song that made everyone fall in love with Katy Perry more. Pretty much everybody got addicted to that song. I mean who wouldn't be, right? I remembered my friend, Terence, who kept updating me about how many times he played it on his iTunes. I think the last time he updated me was around 2K? Not sure.
Anyways, you guys might be wondering why I suddenly blogged about Teenage Dream. Well, it's as simple as it was the peg for a shoot I styled/directed. My photographer friend, John, asked me if I could style as well as direct the whole shoot. We've been wanting to work together for the longest time, and finally we did last Saturday. He didn't have any peg - or theme, for that matter- until the last minute.

Haven't exactly started on the post process of the photos. But here's a sort of teaser.
And enjoy the video too!

STATUS Fashion Show
So last February 11, 2011 was my first ever somewhat-directing gig for a fashion show. One of my dear high school friends who's studying in UST asked me if I could help him out with a fashion show he was organizing along with his org. Thanks Jason for the chance! Hehe. Along with the UST Community Achievers Association, we worked on this fashion show for months -just for a one night event showcasing 15 of the most amazing and talented Filipino designers:
Stressful would be an understatement to describe the whole day. I think all of my friends who have experienced the behind the scenes of a fashion show would agree with me on this one. But of course, at the end of the day, all that matters is what you have gained from all that has happened -which is experience and new friends, for me. Haha!
Alodia Cecilia Arnold Galang
Dave Ocampo Eddie Castro
Edwin Uy Gerswin Qua
Gil Macaibay Jackie Abueg
Jian Lasala John Guarnes
Joyce Pilarsky Lizanne Cua
Stephanie Tan Ulysses King
Yako Reyes
(Here are just some of the designs modeled by UST students; last image is of supermodel, Irish Ong)
