Random Candies
Random Candies is Willar Mateo’s debut collection for his clothing line, Salad Day. Though Willar has been making clothes and nursing a following, this is his breakthrough line for the brand. And one can easily see in the clothes how much this young designer has grown.
A salad entails throwing together pieces that are not necessarily alike, disparate even, but somehow combine to produce a sumptuous whole. Accordingly, Willar playfully selected his ingredients and mixed them up for Salad Day. Tailoring, draping, print manipulation and elements of minimalism were tossed together to assemble Random Candies. All these elements, which he picked from his experiences working at I Love You Store and designer, Gian Romano, add up as a dish that would appeal not only to those are inclined to sweetness, but to anyone who just gets excited over clothes.
Photogaphy: Al Avellana Styling: Anton Belardo Make Up: Mary Del rosario Models: Rutherford Perez, Maverick Bernardo, Zeke Nolasco, and Mafia EscasinasWords: Daniel Concepcion

3 Artists 1 Song
Question. What happens when you put 3 talented artists to collaborate on 1 song? Answer. You get an eargasm like no other. And I think that's what Converse wants to happen.
Though this isn't a new concept at all, but I think that Converse will be bringing in some sick collaborations for this project. And the best part of it all... it's for free.
Check out the artists and the songs they collaborated on.

Salad Dye-d
I found out that last Saturday my dear friend, Willar of Salad Day, hosted his first Salad Dye Party which is basically a hair dye party. I only saw their blog post about it and suddenly felt that familiar rush. The kind where I know would only lead to me doing something different with my hair again.
So a while ago, I asked Willar if he could help me dye my hair. And this is what happened...

What do you guys think? :)

Chronicles 2012
No matter what it is, no matter who it is for, and no matter where it is, a published work is still a published work. And I got super giddy when my church's newsletter/magazine finally had it's first ever online issue -with 2 of my works getting published in it.
I was asked to document our Church's medical mission in Botolan. This would have to be my first published photos. kilig
I haven't written anything in a while so having my poem make it in the issue was a blessing.
Check out the whole issue here!
Annuale Show
I am finally seeing that light at the end of the tunnel. One more week after Holy Week, then I am officially done for this term. Things have been pretty busy considering I've only gotten back in school this term. I definitely didn't expect that -but oh well. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
Now, just to say that I wasn't all work -or study, in this case- I got to be part of my school's event called Annuale. It's this annual event where SDA students get to showcase their talents in any field (i.e graphic design, fashion design, animation, etc). I didn't exactly take part as a designer since I haven't taken the needed subjects for this but I got to model my friend's design.
Let me congratulate not just Adie -who totally made the designs I wore on her own- but to every designer, performer, etc who was part of it. They really blew my mind away with their designs, performance and dedication for this show. If ever I do get to be part of this event in the near future as a designer, I hope I could blow people's minds away too. Haha!
Btw, the time era for the fashion show was 1911 and 2011.
Thank you to my friend, Jeruel, who came to watch and took these cray photos. I shall be posting the shoot I did for his portfolio soon. Cause that's another story to tell. Chos!
