Shabby Sick (Chic)

Before midterms week came and started wrecking havoc in my life, I decided that it was time to do some spring cleaning in my room. It had been a while. And according to my dad, my room is more like a thrift shop rather than a bedroom, with clothes, bags, shoes, and basically everything were scattered. It was quite a cleaning last Sunday since I found all sorts of things -including a brand new mp3 player. Yes, I never knew I had one.

I like furnitures that looks so old and weathered so bad. It's so shabby chic. Haha.

Of course, re-organizing my closet was also a part of the cleaning. It was fun going through my closet. I finally made time to choose the ones I can give out to charity, throw out completely, and find certain items that I can't seem to find when I need them.

I realized that I'm finally learning to love color. But I need to learn to be more organize. As of now, they're still shuffled and some are still in the box.

One of the things I like about going through my closet is I get to find pieces of clothing I never thought I had. Kinda like this red number here. Sorry for the bad picture. It was from my twitpic that day. Just so you know, I didn't bought it from anywhere. It was my mom's that she thought I could use. For what? I have no idea.

Anyways, after Sunday, I got sick. Now, it has gotten worse because of stress. It just goes to show how unorganize I am what with doing a major cleaning the week of midterms. I just hope that this week will be over with so I can start doing the things I'm more interested to do. HAHAHAHA.

Be Your Teenage Dream Tonight

Yes. It's from that song -that song that made everyone fall in love with Katy Perry more. Pretty much everybody got addicted to that song. I mean who wouldn't be, right? I remembered my friend, Terence, who kept updating me about how many times he played it on his iTunes. I think the last time he updated me was around 2K? Not sure.

Anyways, you guys might be wondering why I suddenly blogged about Teenage Dream. Well, it's as simple as it was the peg for a shoot I styled/directed. My photographer friend, John, asked me if I could style as well as direct the whole shoot. We've been wanting to work together for the longest time, and finally we did last Saturday. He didn't have any peg - or theme, for that matter- until the last minute.

Haven't exactly started on the post process of the photos. But here's a sort of teaser.

And enjoy the video too!

STATUS Fashion Show

So last February 11, 2011 was my first ever somewhat-directing gig for a fashion show. One of my dear high school friends who's studying in UST asked me if I could help him out with a fashion show he was organizing along with his org. Thanks Jason for the chance! Hehe. Along with the UST Community Achievers Association, we worked on this fashion show for months -just for a one night event showcasing 15 of the most amazing and talented Filipino designers:

Alodia Cecilia            Arnold Galang
Dave Ocampo         Eddie Castro
Edwin Uy                 Gerswin Qua
Gil Macaibay           Jackie Abueg
Jian Lasala               John Guarnes
Joyce Pilarsky        Lizanne Cua
Stephanie Tan      Ulysses King
Yako Reyes

(Here are just some of the designs modeled by UST students; last image is of supermodel, Irish Ong)

Stressful would be an understatement to describe the whole day. I think all of my friends who have experienced the behind the scenes of a fashion show would agree with me on this one. But of course, at the end of the day, all that matters is what you have gained from all that has happened -which is experience and new friends, for me. Haha!
